Making Moves Documentary Premiere
November 13, 2012
The Music Industry program’s Making Moves series has garnered major media this month. Billboard magazine recently featured the series and Rolling Stone did the same. Making Moves is a selection of 7-inch tracks by up-and-coming bands curated by the band Motion City Soundtrack. All of the tracks were recorded and engineered by Music Industry students and recorded in our Music Industry studios on campus.
While Music Industry students were hard at work behind the consoles, Film & Video students captured the entire process and have produced an 83-minute documentary film that will premiere at the URBN Center on Monday, November 5th at 5 PM. The screening will be in room 239 on the 2nd floor of the URBN Center. Limited tickets will be available at the MAD Dragon Enterprise office (URBN 109), Monday, November 5th at 4:30 PM on a first come, first served basis. Following the screening the documentary producers and crew, F&V students Matt Lowe, Jake Hostetter, Jeff Wilkins, and Evan Newman, along with members from Motion City Soundtrack and our Music Industry student engineers, will hold a Q&A on the series and the film.
